Nearly forty years ago, with just six people and scarce resources, we dared to dream: to take Tea—the true King of Beverages—to every corner of the world. Guided by a desire to share premium-quality blends and a relentless pursuit of excellence, Girnar was born in 1978.
As decades rolled on, the world transformed—new technologies emerged, green tea became a symbol of wellness, and even the idea of life on Mars entered conversations. Yet through all these changes, one thing remained unshaken: our devotion to tea and the same passion that ignited our beginnings.

Our story traces back to 1978, when we first stepped into the global market as exporters of tea—both in bulk and in branded consumer packs. By consistently delivering the promised quality year after year, we expanded our presence and today export to more than 48 countries worldwide.
As we turned our focus to the domestic market, our global reputation naturally evolved into strong recognition at home. What began with loose tea blends soon became household favorites such as “Chai No. 1 – Special” and “Chai No. 3 – Deluxe.” From there, our portfolio steadily grew.
Today, we produce Loose Teas, convenient ‘Dip and Sip’ tea bags, and specialty Infusions from India and Ceylon—distributing them under the Girnar name in India and abroad. With the addition of Snacks, Instant Foods, and Beverages, our offerings continue to expand in step with changing consumer lifestyles.
